Valley of the Temples

The Valley of Temples is a unique cemetery located just outside on Kaneohe in east ‘Oahu. The Valley was built 1968, one hundred years after the first Japanese immigrants came to Hawai‘i. The Valley of Temples is actually a large cemetery with lovely areas devoted to several different religious denominations.

Christians as well as Buddhists are buried here. A Christian Church is situated on the left hills of the sanctuary and a Buddhist Temple is located inside the valley.

Take H1 west bound. Get off at Likelike Highway and go north through the mountains. Then take Kahekili Highway North. Turn left into Valley of the Temples.
