 Opaekaa Falls is a Kauai landmark in Wailua and beautiful to behold from the popular Opaekaa Falls Lookout. Most people don't know there is a way down to the bottom of the falls, probably because it is pure wilderness on state land. The state isn't encouraging you to go and they don't maintain anything there. It's simply a faint, vague pig trail that is steep and slippery in spots. If you go, you are practically trailblazing, so don't blame the state if you find the going difficult.
